The Faster You Run, the Sooner You're Done

Cross Country is an intense sport full of obstacles. Some people may think it is easy. Cross Country is not a breezy jog in the woods. Typical high school courses are 1.7 miles and varsity runners, like myself, run it twice. To reach full potential in this sport you must have a lot of endurance. Running out in the elements gives me a rush. I enjoy pounding the dirt and splashing through mud. Though the steep inclines are not my favorite, the down hill bound allows a time to stretch my tight legs. This fall the Westwood Varsity Cross Country Girls Team were the Region Champs. I myself finished in third place.
